Bruce covers plenty of miles in his 2002 Outsider. As the third owner of the boat which undertook rescue work at Tweed Heads before being on-sold to another owner in Western Australia, Bruce put a fair bit of effort into tidying up the boat.

He uses the boat for family outings to Rottnest Island and Mandurah, enjoying fishing and crabbing as well as just cruising. Bruce also heads north to any place between Perth and Exmouth (approx. 1400 km north) and up to 70 km offshore chasing bottom species as well as pelagics. “The Cruise Craft is our sixth boat over 30 years and it delivers all that we hoped it would,” Bruce said. “Our kids have grown up with boats and all enjoy time on them especially crabbing and fishing. I am particularly happy with its handling and with twin 115’s it’s a very capable offshore boat.”

Bruce’s boat has complete Raymarine electronics including autopilot. It also has a freshwater sink and shower, fresh water deck wash, stove, anchor winch, bait board with sink, 27Mg and VHF radios as well as GME sound with 4 speakers. “I love the build quality and especially all that lovely stainless steel work on the bimini,” Bruce said.
